Are the Gold cups worth the money?

I have a '93 built Enhanced Gold Cup. I would also agree to just leave it alone if it shoots fine. Mine shot fine for over two decades before I swapped out any parts and that was only because I wanted a Gold Cup in the more "traditional" configuration rather than the combat style the Enhanced models strived for.

I like the look of the older, all steel trigger, but what I hated about it was that it was so heavy, it needed that complicated sear depressor mechanism to prevent trigger bounce. It also made reassembling the gun after a detail strip a real pain the butt. That's primarily why I went with the newer aluminum trigger with the three holes.

By the way, Colt was very generous. I had sent the gun in for repairs (front sight came loose) and the plunger tube was slightly out of spec. They re-configured the gun to these spec with new parts at no cost to me. I couldn't believe it. I guess someone else over there shared my same views on what a GC should be.
