I like the look of the older, all steel trigger, but what I hated about it was that it was so heavy, it needed that complicated sear depressor mechanism to prevent trigger bounce. It also made reassembling the gun after a detail strip a real pain the butt. That's primarily why I went with the newer aluminum trigger with the three holes.
By the way, Colt was very generous. I had sent the gun in for repairs (front sight came loose) and the plunger tube was slightly out of spec. They re-configured the gun to these spec with new parts at no cost to me. I couldn't believe it. I guess someone else over there shared my same views on what a GC should be.
