This is a K frame BK on a Model 28 N frame. Works and fits fine.

Those used to be Tyler T grips

 

Tyler was a separate company, now BK molds them out of polymer for about. $25. They are just as good quality as the old Tyler T grips, which still exist.....but try using their website.......it’s pretty poor.

 

They also work on the single action Schofield. Makes the gun much easier to shoot.

They're a great product, excellent service too. I have them on about 20 different Smiths, a few Colts and Rugers too. The color is "through and through" so doing a little dremel work can make them fit on Charter Arms, other revolvers. Easy to work on.

 

The Tyler T grips were available in brass for a long time, I hope they still are. I though it looked good on a blued N frame.

Now plastic on an N frame? I can see the utilitarian aspect, and less chance of marring the bluing also.

In the end I prefer the target stocks, but something about that Tyler brass T grip is appealing.

 

Yeah, what's nice about the BKs is they arrive
at your house a few days after ordering them,
not months or years like the Tylers.

The BKs also have a double prong design to
secure them under the stocks as opposed to
the single prong design of the Tylers. I think
this cuts the chance of a "wiggle" after
installation.

 

Having used Tylers I every once in a while got too enthusiastic with the grip screw and pulled through trying to eliminate that wiggle. The two tabs of the BK eliminate that.

I wouldn't call them plastic, they're solid with no give or flex - epoxy or resin I'd guess.

 

I guess that I am "older school" than I thought!! I started using Tyler T-grip adapters, and trigger shoes in the late 1950s-early 1960s . I would just drive to Mr. Tyler's shop and purchase them. Currently I own a "lot" of his T-grip and trigger shoes, and likely won't change.......if it ain't broke.....:rock:

 

I will VOUCH 1000% for www.bkgrips.com (whatever that is worth). Kip is an outstanding man that is thoughtful and does excellent work. He's a total straight shooter and I have a tremendous amount of respect for the man. I would highly recommend this style of grip for an individual looking for a small footprint for a CCW....
