This particular flavor of Beretta 92 has a heavier slide (that Beretta claims reduces recoil and enhances durability) and Hogue wraparound grips. Is it considered more desirable than a regular 92 or M9A1?

There is a lot of hate for these pistols. Aside from the oddly located safety, and overall size, I cant find anything wrong with them.
Like others said, the Brigadier's fatter slidedoesn't offer a whole lot more.
I personally like the M9A3, because you get dovetail sights, and a grip that better for people with normal sized hands. A compact version of the M9A3 with a G conversion, would be the perfect Beretta 9x gun in my opinion.
