Hello All,
I heard the Beretta M9A4 had some growing pains. AKA quality problems, but I am assuming they have fixed the issues. I am seriously contemplating getting one because they seem to be the perfect host for a Rugged Obsidian suppressor. I qualified with the original back in 2008 and have not shot one since, so I have no experience with one. (I also have a G17 and a Wilson EDC X9L in 9mm). Any thoughts? I already know I will have to find some suppressor height sights for it since they do not come with them from factory.
The trigger pulls in both DA and SA modes; especially SA mode, are much improved over the plain M9.

It has the Vertec grip for those with small hands but also comes with a fat grip panel for those who prefers the more traditional M9 grip.

I don’t know about now but I bought the M9A4 when it was first released around October 2021 and it took Beretta 4-months to get me the optic plate.

Yeah, the flat backstrap makes it FEEL better in the hand, and gives you the false impression that the grip is smaller. But if you measure from the trigger to the radius at the rear of the grip frame it's still the same. The pistol also points low if you're used to the humped backstrap of the standard 92FS. The grip panels are of course slightly thinner, but that makes very little difference and you can accomplish the same thing by purchasing thin grips for a standard 92FS. Between the two I actually still prefer the 92FS even though I'm a dude with only medium-sized hands.
Very true about the Vertec points lower for some people, myself included. I do prefer the standard grip even though I have small hands.

The trigger bar is also different from the A4 too. The reset is much shorter than a standard M9 or 92X. This feature is nice to me. Personally I would have bought the 92X optic ready had I found it first but I came across the M9A4 first and bought it instead if the other one. I’m not a fan of the diarrhea color or the threaded barrel.
