I'm itching to get a look at the new Trijicon HD night sights. They come with a wide U-notch rear with standard vials and a large luminescent (orange or yellow) ring surrounding the front vial.

They are only available for a few models thus far but I'm sure they'll expand their market soon enough. I don't think the official site lists all available models yet.

It might help if you indicate the pre existing sight cut in a sti escort. I know many of their fixed sight guns come with the heinie rear for the Novak cut but do not know if that applies to the escort model or not.

I don't know if you'd be interested in these, but I put some on my P22 since I couldn't find any self lit or self powered for it.

Two possible deterrents;
You have to affix them over your current sights.
They need a "charge" by a flashlight or sun just for a brief second or two.

On the "pro" side, they are about 3 times brighter. The pictures on the website aren't an exaggeration, they are very bright. I've tested mine out with a standard mag light. The gun was in the case all day, I took it to a dark room to get it out so my test results weren't skewed by other light. Then I hit it with my Maglite for about a second. They were very bright while taking aim like you would while holding a flashlight in one hand, gun in the other, searching your house. And yes, it was brighter than any Trijicon's I've seen so far.
