I'm looking for that hammer in matte stainless

 

Try Fusion Firearms. I've been waiting for a parkerized version for my 1911-A1 Army (to replace the MIM spur hammer), but it's been out of stock for months.

 

Nothing wrong buying one or a few at that price. Just toss'em in the safe and keep plenty of ammo handy. Christmas comes early!

 

I was thinking of getting another and leaving it "mostly" stock except for minor tuning, aka extractor and sear. I think that A1 service special is great looking. And it shoots pretty damn good too.

It appears different stores may have different specials on different guns. One of the regulars on the S&W forum got 2 at the RK in Crystal River, FL for $309 each.

$320 Shipped. Vendor is Family Firearms in Troy, AL. Haven't heard of this site before, but did a quick search & it looks like they're probably legit.

A friend and two relatives bought a Tisas 1911 A1 from Family Firearms. All had flawless transactions and were very pleased with what they received and the service from Family Firearms.

 

I bought one at an RK in Indiana last Friday. The way mine rang up was 289.99 plus sales tax. It seems to be a nice gun and is roll marked "Tisas USA" on the R frame, no Turkey anywhere...? Also, it came with 2 Check Mate 7-round mags.
