There is a perplexing & "floating" dichotomy as regards the 10mm made by its backers. :unsure:

What theoretically makes it better than a 9mm? They immediately shout "It's bigger!". OK, then so is the .45 ACP to which they counter "It's faster!". Well, the 9mm is faster than the 10mm (normally), will penetrate farther and let us be honest in that one measly mm is not some huge gain. It's the tip of a pencil lead.

So, for the ammo costs I never saw any real benefit. Then again I am logical and don't get caught up in caliber "wars". YMMV.
I think the benefit of 10 vs 9 is the heavier bullet with the 10. And some like to call it 1cm.
