Gentlemen,
Hope all is well.
I just picked up some 125 grain Hornady XTP HP's for loading mid-range to upper mid-range 357 magnum loads. I would like to utilize the powder I have which is Titegroup, Bullseye, HP38, etc.
I do see a load in the latest Lyman manual with Bullseye obtaining velocity of 1200-1300 FPS w/125 grain XTP's, but I have read in other forums people cautioning against Bullseye except for low end magnums and high end 38/38+P.
Do I need to purchase some 2400 or H110 or am I safe so long as I am following the Lyman data? I guess I am being cheap, but we don't have any local sources for powder so I would be looking at shipping, hazmat fee, etc if I sprung for the slower burning powders.
I have reloaded thousands of rounds of 9mm, 45 ACP, and 38 spcl, but this is my first foray into 357.
Any thoughts are greatly appreciated.
Hope all is well.
