Hi guys sorry if this topic has been answered before or I posted it in the wrong place I was wondering the load data of .45 acp using 230gn lead round nose and bullseye powder I would like to keep the loads lite as i use the gun in matches and heavy loads are not needed I was told 4 grains is good but not sure don’t know if it’s needed but the gun I will be using the reloads in is a Springfield mil spec 1911 5” barrel thank you

You need 165PF + a little margin (~5-7PF) for the USPSA matches. Oldfut's load should be good to go out of most 5" 1911 with a 230LRN. Great load!
For me, 4.1gr Bullseye was 168-172PF out of several guns in varying weather with 230LRN at 1.250" with CCI300's or FED150's.
You may want to also consider trying some 200LSWC for events, makes for nice controlled pairs....if they feed well.
