I own a Hammerli Forge H1 4.25". I have fired over 250 rounds with 7 types of ammo from subsonic to CCI mini mag to 35 year old remington thunderbolt from its original milk carton container. I've even fired it suppressed. Guess how many failures/malfunctions I've had? Absolutely none. I also have a Ruger 22/45 lite that I've fire well over 1500 hundred rounds through. Guess how many malfunctions? One... IMO and through observation I discovered many years ago with 22 pistols 90% of the malfunctions I've seen are from user error, particularly the way they hold the gun. Yes, I have a lot of experience: former gunshop/range owner/ trained gunsmith and 27 years as a LEO. BTW, never any out of the ordinary fouling. Trip to the range is generally at least 250 rounds between cleanings.
