I feel your pain, however 22lr pistols are finicky about ammunition.

I am an active 2700 Bullseye competitor and everyone has issues with 22lr ammunition. Pistols do not have have ignition systems that put the same amount of energy on the rim, as do rifle ignition systems. I have SK STD plus ammunition that has been 100% reliable in my Anschutz, the same stuff is remarkably unreliable in my M41 and M46 S&W target pistols. Everyone has complaints about CCI SV, which for its price, is commonly used, and cussed at. Failure rates of the stuff run around one malfunction every 50 rounds. It is really frustrating to have a double alibi, because in Bullseye pistol competition, you have to clear the second alibi, and keep on going, or you eat all the shots not on paper. And when stove pipes/failure to eject happen in the 10 second rapid fire, you are going to loose lots of points. Just at a match this month, the CCI SV fired, and the case stayed in the chamber, the next round bent the bullet like a banana, and there was no way in heck that case was coming out without a cleaning rod. Luckily that massive failure was the first alibi, and prayed all the way through the alibi string, that God would grant me perfect function!

At a State Match last month, I took some of the last SK HP HV that I have. That stuff has had very few malfunctions, and I did not want a train wreck at a State Championship. I stayed two nights at a Motel, so these matches can be expensive!

I do notice the very expensive Pistol Match is more reliable in terms of ignition. Eley supposedly spins the case so the primer compound is evenly distributed. The cheap stuff, no doubt it is all get it out the door regardless whether it goes bang or not. I used to think the pistol match ammunition had more sensitive priming compound and a faster burning powder to better function auto pistol mechanisms. An Eley representative cured that delusion. The primary difference between pistol match and rifle match is the outside case lubrication. Rifle match has a wax based lubricant, pistol match, vegetable based.

Anyway, before tossing the pistol in the trash, go out, buy different brands, and see if one 50 box is more reliable than the others. And buy all of that lot you can. The next lot will be a mystery!
CCI ammo used to be the Gold Standard for reliability. Ever since Vista Outdoors bought the company the quality of their ammo has taken a nosedive. Duds used to be a rarity, but now I seem to get at least one in every 100-round box.
