I like the roll marks on them from Fredericksburg Texas, about 30 minutes from my house.

Of course they aren't actually made there. They are made in the Philippines and might very well be an Armscor product.

I've owned a couple of Rock Island 1911s and as long as you don't get stars in your eyes and get to thinking you got something more than what you got, they are good and dependable. Never a problem and will never be mistaken for a Wilson.

The Cimarron came in three finishes. A shiny chrome or nickel, a beautiful high polish blue and the park finish. My favorite is the high polish blue but your park finish is probably the most durable.

I'd consider the Cimarron on the coattails of the Rock Island 1911 reputation as far as being a dependable entry level 1911.

One day I'll have one myself.
Shoot it and have fun with it.
