The first pictures look like the roll marks have been buffed out, but they show up in the last.
I would call it "shopworn."

I can't see it very well, but it does look like it has some rubs. I would do a field strip and if everything seems to be fine and it locks up tight then I would offer from 8 to a grand for it. It's very hard to estimate what it's worth on just some poor pictures. If it were ANIB it might bring 1200 at most but it doesn't appear to be.

 

Down here, add another $1000.

I stare at the grip screws first on an older pistol. That one looks good to me...a couple scratches but no real flaws. I'd either dry-fire it or thumb the hammer down past half-cock and let the sear rest

 

Looks great to me, just needs to be cleaned up - its got more fingerprints than the FBI. With the box and all, it would go for a lot.

 

That's what I'm hoping for a good cleaning and some decent pictures should be a better presentation

Think that old GC needs TLC and a wipe down with some CLP!

 

SN dates to 1970, the first year of the Series 70 pistols. Assuming the blemishes I see are just smudges and not scratches (or worse) the value would be closer to $2000. Of course if you can actually get it for what some here think it's worth more power to ya.

 

I appreciate all the comment and advice. I offered to buy all the guns to make it easier on the seller but I wasn't sure on pricing on some and I am not planning on keeping some.

That is a nice Gold Cup. I sold a '76 made Gold Cup about a year or so ago. I was offered stupid money for it so it went.
