Hi everyone !
I just ordered a commander sized 4.25’’ 1911 in 45 (Springfield garrison).

Just curious to know if anyone hears of any good commander sized leather holsters for sale that are in stock.

if you please point me in the right direction. I can’t seem to find any in stock.
Thanks a million.

Thank you everyone all these are great places !

does anyone know if all 4 inch holster also fit 4.25 inch ?
From the Gibson’s link they advertise them as 4-4.25.

Furthermore I just came across this one and it advertises for a 4 inch gun. Will it fit a4.25 commander ?

thank you for your helpful comments.

Call Jason Winnie and ask him. He is a nice guy and makes a high-quality leather holster. I have a few of his, I bought one or two through Wilson Combat, and two from him directly that were custom made exotic leather.

Got a hand full. Kramers, Charles Wright and a few customs. The two I use the most by far Galco Concealable. Not cheap but have proven over time to be pretty much print proof and very comfortable.

I really like the 1791 holsters. They are available on Amazon, but you get a discount if you go to their site and buy from them. Leave it in the cart for overnight they offer another discount. I’ve used mine with both a 4 inch and a 4 1/4 inch gun with no problems. They are a good looking, well made holster at a fair price.

Are you looking for OWB or IWB?

Another vote for Galco Concealable for off-the-shelf quality. It works perfectly for a 4.25" 1911. I've had one for years and it still does the job.

I was surprised that they were out of Gov. sized but did have the Commander in stock. (I was there for a class last week.) I looked at the Davis holsters and they are really nice and priced right at 150$ish. There is some question on their future availability so stock up. If I didn’t have a Milt Sparks on order I would have bought the Davis.

Has anyone tried this holster ?
appendix carry. I’m a little interested in this. If someone were to recommend it I’d consider the long wait time.

I haven't tried the #5 but do love my old Thomas Perfectionist 5" and a #2 for my Browning BDM.

Milt Sparks usually has their Sumer Special in stock. But if not, it’s a long wait for their Criterion or VM-2 but well worth the wait. Milt Sparks holsters are top shelf, and will certainly out live you. You’ll be passing your Milt Sparks holster down to your next generation gun lover.

And congratulations on your Garrison, I love my 9mm Government Model!
