Well, it went very well. The ball head on the disconnector was a tiny bit big for the frame hole, so a very little bit of sanding did the trick. The hammer dropped right in. I guess I got lucky. The EGW hard sear has been set up by Jim Milks innovative Custom Guns) for the previous hammer, and may have had something to do with it. The trigger breaks like glass at about 4.5 lbs. I'm not changing a thing on that trigger, I am STOKED.
I also put in an Ed Brown solid short trigger, which necessitated some light stoning of the engagement surface of the S&A grip safety.
The Slim Ed Brown Cocobolo grips are beautiful on this parkerized Mil Spec, and the stainless GS, and MS housing, along with the stainless Kart barrel and bushing really made this into an attractive blaster (to me, at least). I did break one grip screw bushing trying to remove it for the slim grip bushings. I had to grab it with a vise grip to remove it.
