What are your favorite base model 1911's which make good candidates to upgrade as a project 1911 pistol ?

- Forged Frame & slide (.45 & 9mm blued)
- Series 70
- Very small or zero roll marks on slide or frame) ; minimal engravings of any kind
- Conservative , thin , rear only slide serrations
- Traditional barrel with bushing
- Lowered & flared ejection port
- Novak type slide cuts for upgrading sights
