I love my new Guardian but after a couple of hundred rounds, the thin grips don't suit me. I'm looking at VZ grips in standard thickness but want to be sure I get the right ones with the correct hardware. What configuration should I get and will I need new hardware? Obviously I know I'll need new screws but what about bushings. I've changed grips before but I'm being super cautious. Thank You

I believe the older DW models were equipped with "universal" bushings and would assume that the newer models have them as well. If that is true, I am thinking you would only need new / longer screws.

If you decide to change out the bushings, I would recommend going with Challis Hex Head bushings, bushing o-rings, grip screws and grip screw o-rings. Removing the factory bushings can be a challenge and it is easy to damage the threads in your aluminum frame. (Don't ask me how I know.) The Challis Grip Screw Bushing removal tool is worth its weight in gold and will remove stubborn grip screw bushings with ease. One more thing, I always use stainless bushings in aluminum frames.

Take a minute and look at the "About Us" page on the Challis site. You will be impressed.

Good luck and let us know how it goes.
