I know that no one will believe me since I was unable to get a picture, but as I was pulling into Disney and trying to read the signs that pointed me to Fort Wilderness, a Prius passed me with a NRA bumper sticker. I was a little shocked to say the least.

The 2A is for every one. Even for Liberals. I just hope they wake up! I think some are starting to see why it is so important. My dad is a Democrat who supports the 2A. He always has been!

It will be interesting to see where this thread goes.

The last time that I checked All were welcome in the NRA.

We actually need to become the new rainbow coalition so to speak. :)

I'm a hardcore gearhead. My current fleet contains a '67 V8 Falcon with a hopped up 302, 4-wheel discs, & a five-speed.

A '67 Lotus 7 that weighs 1200 lbs even & dynos at 208 HP to the wheels. (better power-to-weight ratio than a Viper) 0-60 in the high 3's.

A 1933 Buick "Resto-Rod" Looks stock but has V8 driveline.

I also have an older ('98) but clean Lexus LS400 to haul around Real Estate clients.

---- I'd trade it for a Prius in a hot second! Why not? Can't beat that MPG!

I'm also an NRA member & have 50+ guns.

Just because you like firearms & the 2nd Amendment does not mean you have to drive a Mr. Macho Truck.

You can also dig guns but still vote as you see fit & not 100% inline with any one political party.

In my opinion, if someone agrees with absolutely every single position of one party, & disagrees with 100% of every single position of the opposing party, That they are probably not thinking for themselves.

Retired AF CE--- You wondered where this thread would go. Well, there ya have it. I went there!

I've had a front-engine nitro-methane dragster with stacks, zoomies, & a chute.

Currently have a 1200 lb '67 Lotus Seven with 208 HP to the ground. That's 5.7 HP / Lb.
0-60 in the high 3's

Also have a V8 Falcon with 4 wheel discs & 5 speed & a 1933 Buick sedan with a modern Buick V8 driveline.

So I have some gearhead cred.

But I'd swap my old Lexus Real Estate car for a Prius in a hot second. Can't beat that MPG!

I'm also an NRA member with 50+ guns. Just because I support the 2A does not mean I have to drive a Mr Macho Man Truck all the time.

If you drive a Hippie van covered in flowers & are a responsible gun owner you are okay in my book.

Retired AF CE asked where this thread would go. Well, here it is: In my opinion, If you agree 100% with EVERY SINGLE position / view of one political party,

& disagree with 100% of EVERY SINGLE position of the opposing party,

you probably are not thinking for yourself.

Yes, I went there.

I have a 1969 Pontiac Firebird 400 Convertable.

But I do not have an NRA sticker on it.

The Liberal stereotype of an NRA member is a toothless overweight white guy with a baseball cap driving an old beat-up pickup truck. Good to see we're starting to diversify, even if it's only in the type of vehicle. If more people from the LBGT and various minority communities would realize that their Second Amendment rights are just as important as mine it could even influence the Democratic Party. As it is, having gun ownership typecast as something only angry white conservatives take part in doesn't help the NRA's image, which of course is the point of doing so.

I own an F-150 Super Crew, an 08 Mercury Sable AWD, a 72 Ford Bronco and a Scion Xb.

The Scion was originally purchased as transportation for our Special Needs Daughter as it had to make twice a day trips to Wichita and back.

It gets 33mpg and costs a fraction of what a Prius does. It also doesn't need expensive battery replacement. And it got kept around as my wife likes using it for a "run around" car due to its good economy and ease of parking.

There isn't an NRA Sticker on any of them. For that matter, there are no bumper stickers on any of them.

If I were going to start putting bumper stickers on, it'd probably be this one......

Rick Perry and Greg Abbott have done all they could to tick off Obama for his shenanigans when he refused to try and work with Texas on issues.

Obama has won the NRA's firearms sales man of the year award 6 years running, and is a shoe in for next year.

I own more guns than the average person. I have NRA stickers on my Stingray, my Silverado 3500 dually diesel truck, I also had stickers on my Volt, my two Lexus hybrids and a few other cars that most people consider to be "GREEN". I don't believe that man is capable of changing global temperatures but I do believe the blood of some fine young men and women has been spilled and their lives have been lost to protect the flow of oil. The less American dollars that are being sent over to OPEC countries means the less money that is available to be used by terrorist countries to wage war on the USA.

Additionally I will say this.

While I am not quite ready to ask Caitlyn out on a date.

I do think that it is in all of our collective interest to welcome people from all walks of life to our common cause.

Just sayin.

A few years back, when the Prius was new and long before the domestic production boom from fracking, there was a whole conservative movement to buy Prius(s) (Priii?) and other high mileage vehicles as a collective middle finger to OPEC and a way to strengthen national security.

Wouldn't surprise me at all to see several first gen Prius vehicles with NRA stickers.

Edit: Whoops, missed Silver Corvette's post of essentially the exact same thing. Reading Comprehension: 3/10.
