I bought my first Baer second hand and it came in a nice bag with the Baer logo on it, looked like a factory bag I haven't seen another one.
Did Baer's ever come with a bag or was it just something that someone had made?
Just wondering if anybody knew about this?

Thanks

Back in the day there were a few bags made for samples to see if we wanted to sell them. There were 4 or 5 of them that floated around the shop for years. They were black with a stitched Les Baer logo in blue-green. Unless one of those escaped into the wild it was probably homemade . Way way back in the mid 90's we were selling alum. pistol and rifle cases but they didn't have a logo on them. There were a few of these in the shop for years then one day poof they disappeared.

Baer Bag

A few years back when Smith & Wesson first came out with their version of a Thunder Ranch revolver in .45ACP (fixed sight, 4" barrel) they included a bag (rug) with with a TR logo sewn onto the bag. I sold mine but keep the bag for my TRS. Maybe what you're seeing is a S&W product.

This bag I got from Gotegear has elastic straps inside for 4 magazine so I doubt it was for the S&W revolver . At any rate, I figure Thunder Ranch is Thunder Ranch . My TRS rides happily in it .

So far, I have 3 pistols and a LB on it's way in about 10-14 months...

I have 3 pistol bags/rugs for my 1911, my Ruger 22/45 and a Sig Sauer SP2022. My wife picked out the one for her Sig-a Competition Edge Dynamics. But that's ones kinda funky. It's big, has pockets for mags that I don't need and it's too stiff. I bought a triangular shaped Ruger branded Allen pistol rug for the Ruger. That one is too fat, it's tough to put the lock on it and is an awkward shape. Finally, I have a generic rectangular pistol bag that came with the Champion Shooters Choice range bag for my Springfield. I've seen others that look neat, but out of the 3, I like the cheap one the best. It's easy to use, opens nice and flat and takes up the least amount of space in the safe as well as in the range bag. For my purposes, I'd love to buy another one but I can't seem to find just the pistol rug by itself. It seems to be what works best for my situation as I like to keep everything in the range bag when I go. I don't want to be transporting a whole bunch of stuff. It's too heavy as it is.

I'd probably put the LB patch on that one and be good to go. :)
