The dead horse keeps coming back.
The frames and slides are from Brazil by IMBEL and very high quality.
NM means mostly finshed in the USA, N made and assembled in Brazil.
A quick search will find hundreds if not thousands of posts about the difference in the N and NM pistols.
I'm not completely positive on the EMP. But I have read that they are completely made in the USA frames and slides.

my 2 cents.

Couple of routes for picking up a set. Look around in the WTS, post a WTB (in the correct section), or just give Springfield a call 800-680-6866.

I thought I was the only one. When I bought my Mil-Spec several years ago it came with plastic panels, close to what a REAL GI pistol would have. I much prefered the U.S. wood grips that the GI came with. I found a set cheap on another forum The High Road, IIRC. and that is what my M-S has worn until just recently, when I installed some Colt Rubber grips as the gun is being open carried lately and I don't want to bang up the wood.
