I just took my new RIA Tactical to the range to start breaking it in when I began to have a problem. I had put about 20 rounds through it when I had a FTF, but when I looked closer, the magazine was not seating properly. When I dropped the mag, opened the slide to slide lock, and reinserted the mag, I noticed the magazine release was barely holding the magazine in the magwell.
This happened with both of my Kimber mags alot, and even with the stock mag, it was not holding the magazine very well. Do you think I need a new mag release?
