The only press I prime with is my XL650; all other priming is done with a pair of RCBS hand-prime units.
(I used to use a pair of LEEs but broke both during a marathon priming session. They both failed from over-heating.)

...a slight improvement in accuracy using magnum primers with 231 in the 45 ACP...

I noted the same increase in accuracy. I still use the CCI350 for W231/ 230g Penn Bullets.
