Not a bad looking gun and an impressive list of specs for the price.

Personally don't care for the FCS, adjustable sight, FLGR, or "Red Jacket" billboard on the slide.

Nice find. I would also like to hear from anyone with hands-on experience.

Not a fan. Grips look horrible, and it looks to be basically an STI "kit." Also, WHY are huge ugly rollmarks such a big trend!?

Also, overpriced. 1600 bucks for that!? ****, you can get THREE Remingtons for that much, AND a bunch of pretty-up/upgrade parts for each!!

Redjacket is the Orange County Choppers of the gun world. They put togther stuff made by other companys in front of a TV camera, throw in a little drama, and presto they get to charge a premium for something that is slightly above average.

Seems overpriced to me. I'll take a Baer Premier II, 5" Model, .45 ACP for $1790 over their 1911 for $1685.

I'm out...Look at everything else on there. Converted saigas with no special extras, $1685. That's a really large mark-up. When I found out the show was coming on the first season, I checked them out. The line consisted mostly of Ak's in different formats built from parts kits. It's sad what fame does to people. Still watch the show though, I'm a gun nut...

Don't know where I've been. I never heard of the show until I saw a promo on TV the last day or two.

You can't tell much about the important things like fit, lockup, etc. Just because you can slap together a Lego AR doesn't mean you can build a good 1911. I am not a fan of the Champion adjustable sights and whatever finish they use looks mediocre. Maybe a $30 spray paint. I actually like the grips.

STI makes quality frames and slides, so no complaint there. Looks like the other parts are solid. As I said, though, really hard to see how they're put together. For that price, I'll stick to Dan Wesson or Baer.

Seems kind of strange to buy something that's basically built from the STI parts bin when you can just order a gun from STI for similar money.

Especially since nobody who has watched Sons of Guns should want to give them money. :biglaugh:

+1, they do everything else "different", but then they just "assemble" an STI...gimmie a break and show me something cool like an LST Gaboon

The daughter's drama-whoring in the AK sniper episode was pretty terrible.
:biglaugh: I was thinking she could just get rid of her goober boyfriend and call me, I'll give 1911 advice to her dad and treat her like a princess :biglaugh:

I was into the show, but now that they're going to build some bike themed gun with Paul Jr. from that motorcycle soap opera show in NY, I'm not so sure anymore....I hope they redeem themselves in later episodes!

I'm trying to figure out how two guys, one dingbat girl and one overbearing boss manufacture all those weapons in that shop.

While they are busy making swords, cannons, etc.
