Replacement sights for Elliason sights

I have 2 Series 70 1911 Colts, one a 9mm and the other a GCNM (both manufactured in the late70's). Both have the adjustable Elliason sights.

My 77 year old eyes no longer work well with blacked out rear sights. I looked at the Kensight website and they showed a set that had a set with tritium inserts. I ordered a set and they came with blacked out sights. A call to Kensight resulted in them saying they came that way. They took them back and gave me a refund.

Does anyone have a line on sights that would have some type of bright inserts that will work with my less than optimum eyes?

On other pistols I have gone with TruGlo TFX Pro sights and they work really well for me.

Apparently Kensight is the only option for the aftermarket Ellison sights, but they are available not only directly from Kensight, but other vendors too, for example, Elliason Champion Sight Trijicon Tritium insert - Night Sights with Rounded Blade
or Kensight Adjustable Rear Night Sight Elliason Cut Steel Black Rounded

They are advertised as tritium inserts on the Kensight website, so it's kinda strange that they ship a different product, not as advertised. Could it be that you ordered a wrong set by mistake?

When I reached out to good folks at Kensight they said their supplier had sent all black ones rather that the ones with Tritium. I had ordered correctly. They still show them on their site. I reached out to see if they got the correct ones recently, but have yet heard back.

I also just emailed Shooters Box to see if they have the ones I need. Thanks for pointing me that way...
