Hello, I am new to the board and had a question about RIA/Armscor dealers in the Denver area. Does anyone here know of any dealers in Denver that carry either the RIA Tactical or Armscor 1911's? I would like to buy one locally if I can.

Your local gun store can order you one depending on what type of attitude they have....

Look at centerfiresystems.com they only charge $10 for S&H and they have the RIA Tactical for $400. Your local FFL will charge a transfer fee, most usually charge $25-$35.

Got mine from the one near Hampden and Wadsworth. And i know there are others out there. I also know that this upcoming weekend is the next gun show, and that there will be plenty of people there that have them.

Green Mountain Guns carries them (the place near Hampden and Wadsworth), and I believe 5280 Armory does too. The Big R Farm and Ranch Store in Elizabeth is where I've bought two of mine, but they only carry the GI's.

These are all RIA only, Armscor brand isn't available in the US as new guns.

What part of town are you in?

If you feel like heading up north Orchard's Ace Hardware in Loveland has had a few every time I have been in there. They are good people to deal with too.

Thanks for the reply's everyone, I appreciate it. I am in Lakewood and Green Mountain Guns is just down the road I realized! I have not lived in Denver for too long so I am still in the process of finding some good shops to check out.

I got mine from Centerfire

I'm in Littleton not far from Green Mountain Guns.
Nice shop. I've purchased a couple pieces from them, but they didn't have the Tactical RIA 1911 - so I bought it online from Centerfire. Very happy with the transaction.

There is a Tanner show this weekend - and I'll be there - but I've yet to find a RIA tactical at a Tanner show.

I am looking for a nice Nylon 66 at the show - should anybody have one :~)
