I also have a Ruger American Rifle in 22magnum that I don't have a picture of. I really enjoy hunting, target shooting and just overall plinking with them all.

I once has a savage .22 rifle from the 1960’s. Problem was it would go off on its own, internal parts worn or rusted out.

So couldn’t sell it, too dangerous to keep, not worth fixing even if parts were available. So I waited for a gun buy back and “sold” it for $150, which went towards a Henry lever action. Don’t try to convince me gun buybacks are a bad idea. LOL

I'd sure like to see a pic of the whole thang.
There you go. The old man took me down basement on my birthday. On his work bench were 3 rifles rolled up in a blanket. The 1897, a Win 62 and Sav semi. He gave me my choice but was trying to steer me into the Win pump. Back in 55’ no self respecting kid would be caught dead with a pump gun. It was Cowboy days. Back then the Win was worth more, today I think 97 carbine has it beat.

As much fun as is the Taurus clone, the Winchester must be a blast.

I just bought a new Rossi Gallery last week, but haven't had the chance to air it out yet. It's listed as .22lr, but is there a reason why it won't run shorts, too?

Edit: Loaded it up with a full tube of shorts and it cycled them just fine. Live fire tomorrow.
