Handled one at a local shop. Three inch barrel, six shot, about Smith and Wesson K-frame size. Adjustable sights, uses moon clips. Much nicer fit and finish than their previous wheel gun offerings. Good trigger pull in SA and DA.

I looked up the clips online, like 5 for $40. No idea if any already existing moon clips would work. The gun is about $500 plus tax. All that said I wanted to ask around about them, so here I am.

Anybody have one? How do you like it?

Maybe they have improved in the past 13 years.

" The design of the cartridge cylinder mounted in the tilting console plus the shock transition control from the console all the way to the frame will maintain the firearm's minimum limits as much as possible. The cylinder rotation design also enables the cylinder to turn by the exact spacing distance, ensuring a safely adjusted barrel. Shooters are the guaranteed safety even if the cartridge is off the barrel, or if the cylinder are braked with impurities from shooting lead, coatless ammunition."

Seems like they would have gotten somebody to rewrite the ad with English gun terminology.

My motto is “if I like - Buy it.”

Keep in mind, it's probably a fine $500.00 revolver. But go into the purchase, knowing that you get what you pay for. Personally, I’d save a few more snickeis and seek out a quality used S&W K Frame. Far better quality, and some of the best DA trigger pull out there.

The 9mm attatction is just that, an affordable round that can be a compatible bug. Best of luck with your decision!

Thanks for the input so far. The shop I see these in is also a range. If they use one as a rental gun and it holds up, that would impress me. By that same reasoning I bought a Taurus TX-22 semiauto pistol from the shop: Their range rental had several thousand rounds through it, flawlessly. (I'm far from a Taurus fan the last three decades, by the way, so it still wasn't a quick decision.)

Anyhow, feel free to chime in here if you have trigger time with the AL-9.0.

One of the first gifts my then wife-to-be Gave me was a Taurus 5 shot 9mm revolver When they first came out. The full moon clips are great IMHO. The price and availability of said clips can be an issue. I would factor about 10 or 15 clips From the manufacturer into the purchase just to be safe, in less you can source them, reliably, elsewhere. I am not a “gun snob“ Rock Island Armory guns are pretty good price point guns. This model reminds me of the S&W CS-1 U.S. Customs Service special, albeit now blued and in 9mm. If it is a square butt, more a belt gun, a round butt, perhaps a little more concealable? I like those kind of adjustable rear sights, and the front ramp is a concealment plus. Having said that, I would like to bring to your attention the Taurus Model 692. .357/9mm convertible 7shot revolver. We bought one recently and keep it at our cabin. 3” (ours) and 6.5” are available. love to hear more about this promising gun.

I got to handle one at Rural King yesterday. It felt cheap, looked cheap and.....well, it didn't surprise me after reading that print add. It reminded me of the printed instructions you get with a Chinese made...anything. Revolvers are still plentiful in most locations. A good used serviceable S&W or Ruger could be had for about the same or a tiny bit more.

I picked up my new RIA AL9.0 revolver via Gunbroker today. I took it home, cleaned it and loaded the 2 moon clips that came with it a 5 more from moon clip depot. All loaded very easy without tool and slipped into cylinder with ease. Will take to club Friday for a test run. The fit of the components looks very good and all is tight. If it shoots as well as it looks, I will be very happy with the purchase. I will update after test run.

I had all steel one with un-fluted cylinder from Czech Point. I put about 600 rounds through one before trading it for something else. No problems. I used three shot half clips with mine (from S&W 547 I think). Worked except I had to poke them out manually because ejector would not pick them out.
The gun came with: plastic box, manual, target, cleaning brushes, moon clips and moon clip loader/unloader. Removing empties from clips was real PIA. The worst gun I ever used was S&W .22 Jet shooting .22lr through chamber inserts that came with the gun. 😤🤬🤢🤮
I traded Alfa Proj for old NIB G26.
The Alfa Proj is good choice if you like to conserve ammo and save brass for reloading. I like to put at least 200 rounds per range session meaning this revolver was not for me.
