I just received my Safariland 7378 holster. When holstered, it seems loose (?). When locked, I can move the pistol up and down, and front to back a little bit...maybe ~1/8 inch. It doesn’t come out, but is that play normal?

The manual says that it may be a tight fit, but will loosen after it breaks in.

Any feedback is appreciated.

I have a couple for my Glocks and they had a small amount of movement up and down but none from front to back. When I got one for a 1911 Government Model, my 1911 moved all over as you described. I found a small screw on the dust cover side of the holster and when I screwed it in, it created tension on a piece inside the holster. I still have a little movement up and down but none front to back. Hope this helps.

On mine there is a small screw on the bottom of the holster. It takes a hex key to adjust it and I believe it was below flush of the holster. When I screwed it further into the holster, it caused a strip of rubber, I believe, to come into contact with the dust cover of my 1911.

I don’t have it with me or I would try to get you a picture. I believe it is a no head hex screw.
