Hey everyone, I am brand new to 1911s and just bought two of them. Although they're not in my possession yet, I got a Sig Sauer 1911 Stainless Rail and a Springfield Armory MC Operator. I live in California (please don't hold it against me) and there's been a serious drought of decent guns lately. When I saw the Sig I jumped on it and started my background check (10 days). The next day, I saw the MC Operator available and bought that as well. Due to the laws here, I have to wait 30 days between handguns, so my LGS is holding the MC Operator for me.
So my question is.. which one do you all think is better? I'm not planning to keep both since I dont need two 1911s right now. I'm planning to take both to the range, but doubt I'll get enough rounds in to really be able to make a solid decision. Maybe I'm wrong and I'll know right away, but I'm curious to hear your opinions. Does anyone have experience with both of these specific models?
