Anyone else had this problem? My Sons brand new (50 rounds fired) Ruger SR1911 Government won't hand eject a chambered round. The gun ejects fired rounds without issue but when you chamber a round from the magazine then drop the mag and hand eject the live round it hangs up in the chamber. He sent the gun back to Ruger and got it back today with the exact same issue. Ruger says they repaired the ejector . . . then why the same problem? He called Ruger advising that nothing was repaired and the tech that supposedly repaired his gun said "the 1911 is not designed to hand eject a live round." My Son is at the moment still trying to get this resolved with Ruger. Just wondering if anyone else has dealt with this?
My Son just spoke to Ruger's repair shop manager whos advised that the problem sounds like a slide issue and he will provide another mailing label to send the gun back to Ruger. He promised that he will inspect the gun personally and make sure it is fixed properly. We'll see. Anyway, the gun is two months old and has spent at least a full month going back and forth to Ruger.
