Went to get ammo for my detective special yesterday and family firearms twisted my arm. I was like I’m just coming for ammo. They shoved a raider and a stakeout in my hand and just forced me to buy this stakeout. Can you believe that 😉? Anyways went and shot it (only 56 rounds because that’s all I could part with). It shot great except 2 hang ups on some cheap 185gr hp I had. Once it’s broke in well I’ll use it as a carry gun.

Also obviously joking about family firearms. I live pretty close so I swing by and check out what they have from time to time. Great people there so give them support

Lol don’t know how they would react to me carrying a case a beer in 😂. I’ll let them know the love they get on here next time I’m over lol. Yeah I always hit them up first before driving anywhere else. They have great prices on a lot of stuff in there. Hope you enjoy your new one man

Sweet !

So..this is another STAKEOUT....without the rollmarks !

Very interdasting....

Wonder if the Stakeout/Service Special/etc guy might have either fell off the wagon or maybe got himself fired.
Or...maybe Tisas is seeing their sales slide on some of these wonky rollmarks and their customers are preferring less...except the 1911A1....maybe.
Who knows...

Nice business-like looking pistol. It's got the features I would want without a bunch of stuff I don't. I love their walnut grips - I've bought them for some of my other guns.

Here’s an update. Only at 206 rounds now. Enjoying it. Had a couple last round ftf last week shooting a box of 50. Adjusted extractor to see if it will help. Had 1 in the 100 I shot today. Will carry it when it breaks in and is 100 percent. But been practicing dry fire with it so it’s already starting to show some wear. Think it’s gonna be a fun gun

Where did you acquire this one? This is better the the MAC to me. No ambi safety, brass bead front sight, Tenifer finish, extended trigger beaver tail. Much cheaper.

People, remember that Tenefer (Tenifer) is a metal treatment and not a finish.

I'll add to this by telling about my new Stakeout. It isn't the newest version but I didn't find any MIM parts while doing some trigger work. I shot it last week to verify that it functioned properly, which it did (6 1/2# trigger). I t has Mecgar magazines BTW.

Then I stoned and polished the hammer and sear (Harrison Design TR), installed a short trigger and tuned the springs so it now breaks around 3 1/4-3 1/2#. Now it shoots great and feels like an old friend! I will test it for accuracy soon and look further at the barrel bushing, which measures around .003 clearance using calipers. I ordered an outside mic and a set of telescoping gages to get better numbers for this.

So far I am really enjoying this gun!
