How normal is it for there to be slight imperfections/small bumps in the Cerakote on these guns:
Jonnylaw, mine has none. In fact it's finish is much nicer up close and in person than it appeared in the ad when I bid on it. I have noticed a few similar cerakote "imperfections" in some photos which are scattered over various websites on the net.

Anyone one have a pic showing the diff between a regular barrel & bushing , VS an "oversized" barrel / bushing on these CQBP?
Same bushing on both guns. You won't see the difference on the barrels by looking at them except for files marks on the upper lugs and even lines on the slide stop showing good, hand fit barrel lock up on the CQB.

Visually, they look the same.

TO YGBSM and all other CQBP fans,

In an attempt to keep this awesome informational thread going, I thought I'd add some pictures of my CQBP that I took when returning home from the range a few weeks ago. This was my first time shooting the pistol after picking it up from the gun shop.

I posted these pictures in my own thread but I believe they belong in this sticky.

Enjoy shooting and learning about your CQBP's everybody!!!

Do you order the Custom Shop CQBP direct through the custom shop or a dealer?
...not sure about the custom shop, but I found out through this forum that whenever there was a lead posted by a member that a certain gun shop had one for sale, and then following the lead, I would find they were quickly sold.

Gun broker always has a half dozen or so listed. Yes, most are way over priced in my opinion, but if you search diligently as I did you'll most likely find one for a fair market price.

I'm thrilled to own mine and hope that you find yours too! :)

It's been said they produce around 80 a month so 80 a month for about 2 years. Whatever that figure is would be my guess. Brent would probably be the one who would be able to give the most accurate estimation.
That's what I thought but only for a year and a few months not 2 years. There is an auction on GB purporting that 5000 were produced. I think that is a gross exaggeration. I think that only about 1,200 to 1,360 were produced but that is just a guess-timation. Hopefully someone can come forward with some hard data. It would be good for the record.

Does anyone know the weight of the two recoil springs in the M45? In the Delta, my understanding is the inside spring is 7lbs and the outside spring 16lbs for a combined weight of 23lbs. If Colt uses the same inner spring for the M45 , would the outer spring be 11-12lbs ? Thanks.
Joe
