I occasionally come across some good deals on Colt 1911's while scouring the net. Thought I would just post any deals here instead of putting them in other's threads.

Colt M45A1 (O1070M45) for $1495 shipped from Botach. Only showing 5 left in stock:

Colt 1911 Rail Gun (O1980RG) for $1055 shipped from Arms Unlimited:

I wonder if this the newer updated rail gun similar to the M45A1?

Colt 1911 XSE 9mm (O1092XSE) for $925 shipped:

Nice prices. I prefer to shop at local LGSs and pay a few more bucks. Plus I get to look at what I buy. Also when you shop xyz.1234 on line you miss walking into an LGS and seeing a lightly used X for half the price of a new one or a used Y that is half of what you can find it for on any intergoogle.

I believe most of us would like to touch and feel before purchase at the LGS. The added cost is typically something you can get close on after some negotiation but the unfortunate part is that colts are not always stocked.

I am in a populated area and there is a lack of colts to choose from to say the least.

Like many people I always have to order my Colts online since the only ones anyone stocks around here are the basic 1991 models (which are normally overpriced to boot). I got lucky with my last online purchase but I sympathize with those who are a bit squeamish about buying sight unseen.

That's a smoking deal! Pun intended. I paid $1050 + tax at my LGS about a year and a half ago or so. You will love it, initially I was skeptical on the LW as I wanted the all Steel blued XSE but it was gone by the time I got back after selling a gun to fund it. I can't tell any difference in recoil and the LW is great. Very accurate too. Have fun shooting it!

Exactly, and usually significantly more than that, LGS near me is already $150 to $200 higher than Buds for example, then after an 8% or so local tax in my area I'm spending easily $200 to $250+ over what I could have got it for online. Recently they wanted $950 for an 04691 Commander, they said they would go $900 on it but I still had the tax. I decided to wait and got one from Buds with make an offer for $758, w/free shipping just had to pay $25 for transfer. That was around last Christmas and others have gotten even better deals. I have bought several guns through my LGS though spent probably $2k there in the last 3 years or so and I go there to buy accessories as I do like having an LGS nearby, but you're right it's not chump change to me either.

Hmm a "Horton Special". That's pretty cool! I thought only TALO had special Colt's.

Personally after the first 8 -10 1911's I started having no issues with buying sight unseen.

Most of my acquisstions have been used, but have no issues with new ones online. I will definately buy from a LGS is they have it and we are not talking a large difference as I do like to support them, and there is something special about immediate gratification

Noticed the same thing looking for a SCG

Nice find! Best deal I've seen for the Gov't model. Sheesh I only paid $100 more for my XSE 6 months ago!
