For anyone interested in a 9mm & 38 Super 1911 combination deal, Palmetto State Armory has the matt nickel plated 1911 Stakeout for $420 and KY Gun Co. has them for $440. Those are pretty good prices.

I purchased this combination 9mm/.38 Super Tisas from Palmetto. One of the great features is a fully supported chamber to allow maximum safe loadings of both rounds. I believe that I paid $399 plus transfer fees.

I was a participant in IPSC in the late 1970's and early 1980's. At that time I was trying to develop a reliable load that got the .38 Super into major caliber potential. I had several bulged case heads. At that time the chamber was then being engineered to be reinforced by extending it and milling a slot into the frame. This is what the Tisas Stackeout in 9mm and .38 Super does.

The only purchase I would want to make is to have a and extra barrel in each caliber.

I shot this directly out of the box without my normal ritual of disassembling and cleaning/lubing. This is with the 9mm barrel installed. The first four rounds were a bit sctttered but the remaining 7 grouped nicely.

I'd love to see the sight picture of this rig.
I have a Nickel Tank Commander and the front blade on the sight is too wide IMO, and wish it was smaller just for accuracy purposes.
Now don't get me wong....i'm a rookie when it comes to target shooting but I'm thinking if it was a tad bit thinner it would help me hone in more.
