What are some good concealment clothing recommendations?

I'm talking concealment of gear worn on a belt, not the jackets and vests that have holsters built into them. Those always sag toward the gun side, the gun bans into my ribs, and I'm just not a fan of them. And the typical vest--well let's just say it has the nickname "Shoot Me First Vest!". Maybe or maybe not deserved.

I'm wearing an oversized 1960's vintage Harris Tweed jacket to dinner tonight over my SFX9 in an OWB holster and it's great. It won't be in July, though. I like UNTUCKit Shirts, but they seem kinds spendy. And I don't look like their models. I have a more "relaxed fit" body now, I think they call it.

Looking for some larger, buttoned shirts with the straight untucked hem at about half the price point of the UNTUCKit, maybe some light linen jacket for a casual dinner out, denim jacket, maybe a vest if it doesn't scream I'M CARRYING A GUN.

What clothing have you found works? I'm wearing something like this tonight, except a bit too big for me, which makes it comfortable and conceals great. But another ten degrees or so and the Harris Tweed is going right out.

Fishing shirts work for me.

I wear a Wilson Pro 1911 with a untucked Duluth "Free Swingin'" long sleeve shirt, or a Cabela's Safari Shirt or something similar for short sleeve wear during the warmer weather in Texas. I also have a vest (for cooler weather) from Stormy Kramer that is a little dressy worn with a tucked Duluth shirt. For OWB, I use a Wilson double thick gun belt with Jason Winnie pancake (J111), or most of the time it is a Milt Sparks Criterion (IWB) with the Pro.

The dude in the photo could hide the gun in that poofy hairdo, maybe even in that beard - he has options anyway.

But seriously, you may be overthinking this a bit. 99% of the population will be completely oblivious that you are carrying, no matter what you wear, and the 1% who might notice and wonder - they really don't mind. It's more about a busy print and darker color of the shirt, more so than the cut. Just pick something comfortable that covers loosely.

Long sleeve fishing shirts for me too. Also Carhartt and Wrangler make some 2 pocket short and long sleeve button down shirts with a square hem. Walmart carries the Wrangler short-sleeve version in summer and the Wrangler long-sleeve version in the winter. Both come in solids and plaid (plaid conceals better). Around $25 bucks. If you have Goodwill Stores around, take a look there. Sometimes it's a bust. Sometimes there's good stuff. Hawaiian shirts work in the summer too.

Since 1986 throughout my entire career in law enforcement, and now into retirement, I've always worn my fullsize pistol in an OWB belt holster with four spare magazines on the opposite side with a pair of handcuffs (before I retired). All worn concealed under Hawaiian shirts. I'll rotate with 5.11 shirts that work just as well. Also, I'll sometimes use the "T" shirt with shoulder holster or belt holster with an unbuttoned shirt worn over it. These are the most comfortable ways I've found to carry concealed, ever. Just need a good gun belt to hold the weight of the gun and four spare magazines. Winter time is a lot easier with jackets, vests, etc.

By the way, you look like you're modeling that jacket in your self photo for a clothing store advertisement. It does conceal your SFX9 as I can't tell you're carrying it.

Hawaiian are good. Even a regular dress shirt untucked under a sport jacket. Im in fl so i have some linen...i never tuck anything any more. I'll carry my g43 or shield plus under a loose tank top in summer. All owb. Trick is to get the gun to be pulled into the body. I'll take a bianci fold away and put it on the inside of the belt and the gun gets trapped between belt and holster and pulled in when you tighten the belt. Still easy to draw. I have some triple k secret agent holsters that are great for pulling the gun in, thin, light, stiff. You don't need special clothes, just a little loose around the middle.
That said, I honestly don't care if I print. Just as long as I'm not scaring the housewives at target.

I just wear a button down shirt that's long enough to cover the carry piece. Normal size, I wear a 2X. Made of a thin moisture wicking polyester blend that's comfortable in summer. You can find 'em at Walmart all day, not too pricey. And it easily conceals anything I would carry.

I haven't worn IWB in many years. It's just not all that comfortable for me. I have a couple of OWB retention holsters that hug my hip and/or waist, and I wear a looser fitting shirt with a t-shirt under it, so that the bare gun doesn't rub against my skin when I'm carrying. It also keeps sweat from showing in your pits, and I am used to wearing the t-shirt, even in the heat of a Texas summer.

In Texas, since open carry was legalized, there is no 'brandishing' you have to worry about. If you are printing or you raise your arm to help a little old lady in the grocery store, it's not as big a deal as it used to be. But, for the most part, I can stay concealed which I prefer.

I wear Duluth, 5.11, or Orvis flannel type shirts when cold and short sleeve Hawaiian shirts (same companies) when warm. Patterns are very helpful at breaking up printing. Both options over a lightweight tee shirt. I carry OWB or IWB, about 8:00 - 8:30 (southpaw) and as far as I know no one has ever noticed. My wife even asks if I am carrying. as said before, most people are so self absorbed they wouldn’t notice unless you were OWB and completely exposed.

I usually go in a Speedo.

I have several 5.11 short sleeve shirts that I wear when carrying. Over those I ususally wear a 5.11 cloth tactical vest. I always get comments about wearing my 'fishing' vest ;-)

The shirts do have concealed pouches on both sides but as you've stated, even when carrying a light weight S&W revolver they sag.

I also at times wear my 5.11 vest. For a while I also carried my Nikon F2 SLR camera. Once when I was eating lunch at a Vietnamese restaurant, one of the owners approached me and asked if I worked for a newspaper. He thought I was a photographer checking out their restaurant for a food article. The chicken Pho was pretty good!

I wear a lot of untucked polo shirts, current favorite being under armor. I do carry IWB in a Sparks Criterion the majority of the time though.

Same here. I hate wearing tight-fitting clothing anyway... I just don't have the bod for it.

I wear either an open Hawaiian shirt over a t-shirt and my 1911, or a closed one. Easy-peasy.

My everyday carry is a Ruger .380, in a leather holster that has a full-size leather "shield" on the outside that conceals the shape of the gun. This rig fits in any pants pocket. Yes it is not as powerful as I would like, but so easy to carry and 99% not detectable. And with the chambered round being a hollowpoint it's not so bad.
