High-quality 1911s are all excellent pistols. There's no use debating if a Wilson Combat is "better" than a Les Baer, or if an Ed Brown is "better" then a Nighthawk.

But they are different. And usually different in very subtle ways. I believe that if you have the money and the time to buy a semi-custom pistol, any of those mentioned would be a fine choice and would make the owner proud.

But what are the personality features of an Ed Brown that make it an Ed Brown?
Buy one and you WILL understand. I promise you this. I "wanted to buy one for years" The first time he showed me one in his collection, I held it and was instantly SOLD. Saved up and bought one soon after. 10 Months after than, I had my second one. Now, saving up for my third LOL. Along with their beauty and craftsmanship, it's the feeling you get when owning, holding, and shooting one. Like driving an S Class :) You know you've arrived.
