I'm trying to figure out what the lightest 1911 out there is these days. My requirements are that it's an actual 1911, not just something pretty close (like the emp or 911) and chambered in 9mm or 45. Preferably 9mm.
I much prefer to shoot single actions and carry single stacks. I just sold my shield and have some other cash floating around, and I"m trying to decide if it's worth it to jump into a light weight 1911 or the new shield with red dot. I know that's apples or oranges but that's where I"m at.
