I am trying to find some companies that are producing replacement en block clips for the M1 Garand. I see these being offered at gun shows, etc but cannot find where these are being supplied from. I am a small 06 now just getting into 30.06 for Garand specific use and would like to offer some in filled clips.

I was on the phone with the owner of AmmoGarand.com and they have a lot more than just for the Garand. They supply most of what is found in the US and they source made in the USA. The guy is a USMA grad and impressed me with his knowledge, experience and availability to speak directly with clients. I do not need to look farther for what I was needing. Thanks everyone!

...Oh, almost forgot. There is an issue at the manufacturing plant making them that has caused a huge backlog in production and AmmoGarand.com has begun limiting order size to delay running out of them. I found out, they have 250k on order but will likely run out of current stock in the next few weeks.

If you need some, I would not wait... Thanks again everyone for the info and turning me on to this place.

Don’t get AEC 3 (Aggressive Engineering Corp.) enblocs—they have a thick Parkerizing and don’t eject well in rifles like those presently coming from the CMP that have been heavily Reparked! Get some post war AEC 2, Borg Warner, or some Dominion Arsenal Quebec (DAQ), or post war European manufacturer such as the SA enblocs made in France—these are all Mil Spec!

I'm in agreement about Ammogarand, always received quality and was as advertised. However I learned the hard way not to buy from CTD, the Chinese (didn't know the origin when ordering) en blocs had one benefit and only one, I believe I learned every malfunction possible that can be caused by an en bloc, they should just advertise this benefit so others may learn.

The Chinese clips were probably just reverse-engineered from the ones they picked up off the ground in Korea.

Surplus clips as well as clipped ammo has come in from S.Korea, Denmark, Greece and probably a few others. I reckon we supplied clip-making machinery to the countries we supplied with Garands. I still have a case or two of Danish stuff, and clips and ammo are stamped AMA.
I have a few old catalogs, and before the great waves of re-patriated M1s back in the 90s, Numrich Gun Parts was advertising large and small fiber barrels of surplus USGI M1 clips for pennies apiece.

I think the CMP contracted with a former gov't contractor to produce M1 clips. I believe they are AEC and I believe they are located on west coast.
Have seen comments that they are not the same as the original AEC clips but don't recall where I saw that info.

Dominion Arsenal Quebec also produced clips back in the day but I doubt they are still in business.

Friend that works at local range picked up a CMP Garand. The clips that were “ in the box” did not function. Unsure about them as he got it from the person that actually received Garand from CMP? I gave him a GI clip and it functioned as it should. An “ online search” by friend showed the small extruding points on new clips are off location from originals. Not sure how one would correct the new clips????
