Most of the plated guy list 1250 fps as max for their projos. ("standard" plating) Berrys makes a few that are the "thick plate" and rated for 1500 fps.
These become a big deal when you are loading pistol bullet for the pistol rifle combination. I load 357 and 45 Colt hot and shoot them in both. A 45 Colt at 1,200 fps is a nice round, but in the rifle it is 1,500-1,600 fps, so the extra plating is where you go, or you have to go to a jacketed bullet for the rifle and keep them separated. So, I just buy the double plate for those calibers. Not much more cost.

I’ve had great success with Berry’s so every time I find the ones I like on sale I clear the shelf.
I have loaded the 135 grain 40 cal to 1,400 fps in the 400 Corbon and not had a problem but now back them down a bit. I went to the 155s so they are closer to the 1,250 fps rating. Same with the 10mm.

I also use them in 45 Colt and run the 200 grains about 1,150 fps which is about 600 fpe in the Ruger only range and had no problems at all. In fact they are my favorite walk around load. My carry load in that gun is a 250 grain XTP at a little over 1,200 fps for over 800 fpe, both hit about the same place.

I also use the Berrys in 44 mag loaded pretty close to max with 110 or 296. SO, yes I am a big fan of Berrys when I am not wanting to cast my own. The 240 grain bullet can be loaded as hot as I want to try.
