.45 ACP empty case weight?

I noticed Freedom Munitions will take
empty - fired brass cases and give a
credit off the ammo order at $ 2.50 per
pound

So the question is how much in grains does a
.45 ACP case weigh>

I can do the rest of the math for an approx.
ballpark xxx cases = 1 lb

I must have 4-5 lbs of the stuff all bagged up
and FM is only 25 miles away, I could drop it off
& avoid shipping charges as well.

It varies, but with primer still in roughly 85-90gr per piece, there's roughly 7000gr per pound.

It depends on which case with what primer. I would look at ranges around you and on the intermess and see if you could not get a better deal on your fired cases.

1000= around 12.8 pounds. Going price for .45ACP is around 6 cents per case.

Well, yeah, unless you are dealing in gold (Which current ammo scalping indicates.) then there are 5760 grains per Troy pound.
