The blued variant is a beautiful pistol. The High/Hi Power has, in my mind, always been about aesthetics and ergonomics.
I think a price point of $4K is a bridge too far for the average BHP enthusiast.
Longthorne's bespoke shotgun begins at ÂŁ20,000+ and ÂŁ33,000+ (approx. $27,000 and $44,000 USD)....so it's a fair bet that this new 'n improved Hi Power clone ain't gonna' come cheap.
Personally I would take this over anything in that video. I would guess this is going to be a $7,000+ bespoke gun. I am still not sure what this gets me that a Yost, Williams or Garthwaite or numerous other BHPs can do for you These are most likely going to cost more than a Yost Pinnacle build with a beavertail and checkering.

If I compare what they show in the videos to Ted's guns I do not think they are better looking and the ergonomics are not as the same level. The hammer and the safety are no where near as elegant and as functional as Ted Yosts. IMHO

But why didn't Ted polish the receiver? Looks half done.
He never does. Polished flats matte rounds is his style. The pistol wears much better with the satin matte rounds. They are built to be shot not be show pieces. The grip texture all around is much better in the matte finish as well. I have other custom BHPs that have polished frames and they move around in the hand and show more wear than those with matte rounds. The contrast in person is not as significant as it looks in pics. Garthwaite finished his in a similar fashion.

I will ask him next time I talk to him why he does it that way.
