(Seriously, if you have a requirement for a "Recommendation Letter" you need to check with the powers to be in your locality to see what they require. No such requirement in my state.)

Well, when my friend, karate buddy and shooting student needed a letter back when Utah required one I gave her this (along with a real one).

This is a letter of reference for Mary M*****. I have known Mary for several years and have observed her to be a woman of sound character and judgement at least when she is sober. Despite the fact that she is a trained killer and mean as a snake I don’t feel that she would pose a significant public menace unless seriously provoked. Having trained Mary in her NRA Basic Pistol class and for her Utah Concealed Handgun License and surviving the ordeal, I can attest to her knowledge of firearms safety and her desire to seek additional training to become a more proficient killer. All in all, I believe her to be far less of a threat to the social order and general public than other routinely accepted hazards such as 16 year old drivers, women voters and democrats in general. I therefore recommend Mary M***** for a Concealed Weapons Permit without any serious reservations.
