Anyone here familiar with the "Firearms Policy Coalition"?

I keep receiving emails from FPC asking for donations. I'm all about giving to ANY and EVERY organization that will fight for our 2A rights...but I also dont want to be giving my hard-earned money to an unscrupulous organization looking to simply profit by taking advantage of my current Biden-panic.

If anyone here can vouch for them, I'd be willing to donate.

I’m suspicious of any organization with the words coalition
The Iowa Firearms Coalition was responsible for turning Iowa into a Shall Issue state (from a May Issue state) in 2010. They also have done all of the legwork for an Iowa Constitutional amendment that will solidify, for all Iowans, a Constitutional Carry clause. The citizens get to vote on that in the 2022 election. Not all Coalitions are bad! 😉

FPC was one that actually sued states and jurisdictions unlike the NRA who operates a little differently but none the less I viewed FPC at the time as actually doing something productive. And given the state of the NRA with Wayne's suits and now bnakruptcy, I was looking for another 2A organization to support.
Second Amendment Foundation is one that sues and actually has a record of success with it's suits.

Honest? I sent them a small donation as a start. I figured, "Why not? a guy always, always, has to support the 2A".

What did I get?
Spam email, asking for money.
Spam email, asking for money.
Spam email, asking for money.
Spam email, asking for money.
Spam email, asking for money.
STOP IT!!! G---d--- it!!!

Worse... They gave my email address to a 3rd party vendor, and I was getting more spam email!!! 🤬

Edit: I have actually had to go into my email settings and enable one of those "filters" and blocked their emails!!! 😲 🤬 My advice: Stay away from FPC....

That's true for all fund raisers. You give them money once, and they will ask for more every 6 months with a guilt trip that if you don't you will lose your rights. Same is true with every charity I have donated to. From the March of Dimes to the Fraternal Order of police. They do sell those contact lists (Phone and email) and once you are a "known donor" you will be on everyone's list. Its a business to them. My advise is set up a Yahoo email account just for fund raisers and give them that email account, and watch it fill. As far as phone numbers... give them your In-laws telephone number. ;)

True... I agree, but FPC went a little overboard if you know what I mean. NRA, GOA, etc... all send a letter in the mail begging for money. Okay, yeah.... fine... It gets crumpled up and used in my fireplace. You might get ONE email from them asking for donations, and that too is okay. Delete it and that's the end of it.

I hate spam. Recently I went on a guns and parts buying fringe creating multiple accounts to buy stuff. I’m getting all sorts of stupid emails that I just delete. I plan on blocking them as I’ve already blocked about 10. I think they sell or share my information. Unsubscribed from many too. But that didn’t stop them so I blocked them.

Well a sure fire way to support gun rights without the nuisance of having any of them ask for money from you is to get a Facebook account and repost and LIKE the National Association For Gun Rights. I recall seeing many people on FB doing so that I knew were too damned tight fisted to pry open their wallets. Doing so will let people know that you are super pro 2nd Amendment without having to send money or ignore future emails. That can be such a hassle.

Of course that is if FB still allows such groups. 😕
