Anyone have experience with Chuck Rogers' custom 1911 work? Pictures, results, satisfaction, time for completion, etc?

I have had the absoulte PLEASURE, of dealling with Chuck. I have used him a couple of times for some machine work on guns. I would highly recommend him, one of the nicest people I have talked to on the phone, and the work he has done for me is excellent. You'd be hard pressed to find anyone better with a mill, and from what I understand his full house custom guns are some of the best in the world! As far as his turn around times, it has always been very resonable for me, but all I have had done is machine work, I do not know about his build time or back log. I'm sure he'll give you a good estimate if you call him, he is gentleman and a great guy to deal with!

Thanks for input

Thanks, guys, for the input on Chuck Rogers' workmanship. I have visited his site, but wanted to get the benefit of personal experience from the much respected members of this forum. I guess I've narrowed down my "list" to Tim Brian, Rogers, or Yost. In addition to wanting one of the best to work on my pistol(s), I would like a shop close enough that I can personally visit to discuss the work I want done face-to-face with the artist. Thanks again! :)

Elegant simplicity

Thanks, Mike, for the look at the beautiful pistol Chuck R. did for you. I guess it confirms the phrase that occurred to me when I looked at the pictures on Chuck's website- elegant simplicity. :)

A friend just bought Chuck's "parts" gun. A 1911 .45ACP built on a Colt slide and I think a McCormick frame. It has scalloped front strap and mainspring housing, Novak adjustable sight, fitted very nice, great trigger pull, beautiful recessed crown barrel (I think a Kart). It's the first Rogers gun I've ever handled and shot and it lived up to every bit of its expectation.

Chuck is the choice for me and always will be.
Here is a link to my review of the one he did for me, Rogers pistol

Here is a link to my Imagestation on it,Pic

It may not me the "ultimate" for some but that is just because I like them this way.

I have had Chuck work on three guns. Two of them had quite an extensive work list with some operations added after he received the guns.
The other was sort of a quicky job on a lightly customized Colt. To say I am pleased with Chucks work is a huge understatement. IMHO, there is none better... So get on the list, you will not be disappointed.

Let me add, the blueing on these guns were superbly done by Ted Yost.
