Colt Combat Commander MARK IV SERIES 80

A LGS has a used Colt Commander Mark IV Series 80 for sale with 2 magazines and original box. They are asking $900 for it.
I have very limited knowledge on Colt 1911s.
Could some of you Colt experts give me some advice on this Colt? Is it overpriced? Are these a reliable model? Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Sounds quite over priced and you could get a brand new one for that or almost that, but what does it look like? SS, blue, flat top of slide, etc.

Not a great pic..Aftermarket Pachmayr mainspring housing...Can't see the rollmark to tell if it is a lightweight or not. You said Combat Commander so probably all steel....$900 is too much..common as dirt so do some more shopping...

A blued, unmolested, pre-80 series Commander in primo condition will fetch 9 bills, but the 80 series guns don't seem to command (you like puns?) the higher price levels unless LNIB or NIB.
My observations are based primarily on Gunbroker sales.
