Just picked it up today. It is a 4.25 Commander length gun. 45 acp , ramped bull barrel, bushingless, full length guide rod, standard grips ( not slim ). The barrel crown looks great close up. Won't be shooting it til April. This is my 6th Dan Wesson and probably NOT my last. Hard to believe they would only make a limited number of these and then stop.

I guess I didn't buy it because it was a bushingless bull barrel, but because it was a Dan Wesson and something different . I have 10 other 1911's with bushings. Some have external extractors, but most are internal . I don't let that it's a little different stop me from buying a 1911. I really love the Dan Wesson brand and wanted to get one more Valor before they are gone. I guess I'll find out if there is an accuracy advantage, but I can't imagine that its going to be any better than the other Valor, Vbob, and Cbobs I already have. They have all been perfect since day one.
