I dont no but some of my #9 gets kinda thick when its gets old & I do not stick my brush in the bottle, still works great

 

How long does this stuff last? The reason I'm asking is that when my wife's grandmother was cleaning out her deceased grandpa's stuff, she found a full quart size. Knowing I have firearms, she gave it to me along with a ton of reloading supplies. However, he hadn't done anything with guns for almost 20 years prior. Is this stuff okay to use? I usually use gloves when I clean my guns anyhow.

To my knowledge it should last indefintitely as long as the air doesn't get to it. Same old good stuff made then as it is today.

Actually, they took the nitrobenzene out it a number of years ago. Lester Bruno still sells both kinds in various sizes. JBT
