I ordered a set of BestWest grips from Amazon. When they arrived I found "Guuun" printed on the inside of my grips. Interesting since the BestWests are $10 less for what appears to be the identical product. I strongly suspect that all these G10 grips are made by in factory....in China of course.

I am confident they are of Chinese manufacture. You can find them on AliExpress - https://www.aliexpress.com/w/wholesale-guuun-official.html

I installed the blue/black BestWest (aka Guuun) grips on my Tisas Stingray. I had previously ordered from CoolHand and BestWest, thinking I'd install the ones I liked the best. The CoolHand grips were too black, I wanted more blue. The BestWest (which have inscribed Guuun inside the grip) installed easily and look very nice. I ordered an identical but red/black set for my Tisas Devil Ray.

However, the fit of the grip is not perfect. Photo below. I am considering removing the grips and doing a little Dremel or file work to make the fit a bit better. I only need to remove about 1/16 of the grip near the bottom of the mainspring housing. Both sides look about the same.

That looks like an easy fix
Sharp looking grips though

Looks like you ordered the wrong grips Doug. I have the same pistol and the Guun Bobtails work great on them.

Mine are "BestWest" via Amazon, but the inside of the grips are marked Guuun. So who knows. I installed the pair on the Tisas Devil Ray, and they fit a bit better. I don't think it will be difficult to remove as bit of G10, but then I've never tried that before. G10 is pretty tough material.
The BestWests were $10 less than the Guuun grips, which I assume are identical products. I suppose $10 is a reasonable if I have to Dremel them a bit. Or, maybe I will order the more expensive Guuun grips to see if they fit properly. Perhaps I need to read Amazon/BestWest/Guuuns description a bit better, eh? But I do suspect they are the same item.

UPDATE - I did not realize I needed the other shaped grips. They looked so similar I figured they'd fit. So I just ordered a set of Guuun "Bobtails". I bet they will fit as good as yours. Only problem: I want blue and red. Those aren't offered. I ordered orange. I'll put those on the Devil Ray, and figure out where to go from there.

FYI, LOK grips have tons of color choices. Unfortunately, they do not have photos of all color choices on their website but if you call them they will email you a photo of the grips in the color you are looking for. I find the LOKs to be identical to VZs and a little cheaper to boot.

Thanks, I'll take a look at those.

I may go with those on the 9mm. I'm putting the orange ones on the 45acp I think. I'll post a photo when I get them install, they are SCHEDULED to arrive on 5 July.

I too have one pair of Guun Grips and theyre fine. I mean, they're G10 grips, kinda hard to mess that up.
Not quite as sharp as something like LOK or VZ and the colors are a little muted but as far as fit and "function", yes, theyre ok

Yep, simple brain fart in my case. I don't have any 1911s other that the two Tisas, and I got so excited about getting some nice grips I forgot I needed "Bob Tail" grips, not the regular 1911 grips. My orange Bob Tail grips are supposed to be delivered today. In a few days I'll get them installed and post a couple of photos. I will need to return the Guuun grips that are for the regular 1911.

I still can't believe I did that.....

I was looking at some of the other brands of G10 and it was hard to find any without that thumb/mag release cutout. I really dislike that in a grip, too bad because there are some nice looking grips out there otherwise.

I have a set of VZ's that I have to remember to never stupidly part with as they are one of my favorites, but I don't have them on a pistol currently.
