Following a benchrest match this morning, I took my new Kimber Next Generation 1911 to the pistol range to get sight settings. I've mounted a Cyelee Wolf X Pro on it using the C&H plate that came with the pistol. Five pulls of the trigger on a Wheeler trigger gauge showed an average of 4 pounds, 4 ounces and quite crisp.
I only fired 23 rounds as it was over 90 degrees with high humidity and a heat index well over 100. Function was perfect and I'm pleased with the accuracy potential. The first target shows the 8 shots I used to bring the sights to center and then 5 shots in the head. Those were all over sand bags at 24 yards.
The second target shows 10 shots at 22 yards while standing and using two hands. I need to bring the sights up just a little for a zero at 25 yards. I'm more than pleased with my first outing and I think this Kimber may be a keeper.
