I have the 2010 American Classic Commander. Does anyone know or can anyone tell me how to find out A) If I have a cast or forged frame? Slide? and B) Which original parts are MIM. I have replaced the extractor, FPS, and slide stop with either Bullet Proof or EGW HD parts.

For whatever it means they spec is listed as:
Frame: 4140 Steel
Slide: 4140 Hammer Forged Steel
To which I think that pretty much all frames namely the Philippine made ones start out as castings as to mill from billet would really raise the cost a lot of $$$ to which the same is to be said of the small parts they are in all likelyhood MIM as they are on guns costing quite a lot more. Sorry that I don't have more detailed answers for ya.

I think any slide stop thats MIM should be replaced . Buddy had a new Springer few years ago we were shooting and slide stop broke . If you going to carry or use for SD then change out for a Wilson or Brown . Buy the best.
For price I think Kimber has 2 many MIM parts
